The Many Hats of Yours Truly

Happy Mittwoch!

The sky was a brilliant shade of blue yesterday. And for most of the day, there was hardly a cloud to be seen.

This is my kind of (W word season) weather.

No, my friends. I will never enjoy this season.

Period.

Really, though, who could enjoy a hair-skin-and-nails drying, bitterly freezing, gray sky and dreary weather winter as opposed to the blazing heat and warm breezes of a golden Summer…

Pardon me. I was just lost in gorgeous, peaceful paradise.

Back to reality. Sigh.

Because I HAVE to make do… I settle by wearing my favorite accessories.

How about this gorgeous hat? It is my latest Etsy find.

It really got me thinking, the complementing vibrancy of electric orange and dazzling blue sky, about all the many hats I wear as a prima donna.

For one, I am a highly sensitive person. This is my greatest gift, especially in regards to my connection with music and art.

I am also a full time perfectionist. Though, I am working a great deal through that now, and it really only applies to my singing these days. Speaking of…

One of my most beloved hats has to be prima donna that performs MOZART SOPRANO ARIAS!!!

That is right. I am circling back around to some of the most classic Mozart arias to date this semester. Let us celebrate!

Let it be known: Mozart is for Queens!

The most important thing for me to be doing right now is fostering my technique.

It needs to be curated like a wine cellar. Or a fine art installment. Or my ever growing shoe collection.

You see, with the voice, there is always more time.

I have to wait for my larynx and vocal folds to reach their full maturation. With this, a solid foundation of the breath, fully understanding my resonance and placement, and a strong comprehension of language are going to fuel my path!

This is why it is never too late to begin the study of supported singing. I am just lucky to have found it at such a young age.

Yes, I also possess quite the clever hat from time to time. Stick around, and I can show you the many marvelous hats yet to behold!

XOXO, Bentley
